After wearing hard contact lenses all day, you’ll want to remove the hard contact lens at the end of the day. After removing your hard contact lenses from your eye, you’ll need to rinse them in an approved solution and store them properly. Hard contacts can last for years if you care for the lens properly after removing it from your eye and rinsing it.
The steps to removing your hard contacts are no different than removing soft lenses, you’ll want to exercise the same care as you remove the lens from your eye, rinse the lens, and store it.
First, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water, then rinse and dry. You’ll want to do this any time you are going to touch your eye or contact lens.
Next start with your left lens, remove it carefully from your eye and place it with care in the palm of your hand. You will want to apply a few drops of approved lens cleaning or multi-purpose solution to the lens and rub carefully. Rinse the lens, rub it carefully again, and then rinse the hard contact lens a third time.
Store the lens in a clean case filled with storage solution.
Now repeat the steps for the right lens, removing it carefully from your eye and placing it in the palm of your hand. Next applying a few drops of approved lens cleaner or multi-purpose solution and rubbing the lens carefully. And finally, rising the lens, rubbing it carefully again, and rinsing the hard contact lens a third time.
Again store the lens in a clean hard case filled with storage solution.
That is the easy way to remove and care for your hard contact lenses.
